Once I figured out where the slots were, the 2 new 1 GB RAM cards installed quickly and were immediately recognized by the computer without any additional steps (no BIOS run-through, etc.). Speed increased for many routine tasks (start up, shut down, populating lists, starting programs, etc). I am well satisfied.
